- Q. Where do the Greek deli items come from?
- A. All of our Greek deli items come from the fabulous restaurant The Life Goddess in Store Street, London. The restaurateur, Georgios (who lives locally), personally makes the recipes and brings all the food down; normally every Wednesday, in his electric car.
- Q. Where does your milk come from?
- A. The milk comes from Trewithen Dairy in Cornwall. It is semi-skimmed, organic, and comes from small herds selected for their taste. It is competitively priced, even against non-organic milks, at about 50p per pint.
- Q. What are your deli pots made from?
- A. The pots come from Vegware and are all made of plant-based materials. They can all be gently washed and re-used or composted with food waste.
- Q. How do I fill up from your bulk dispensers?
- A. You can either use one of our paper bags, a container from your home, or a re-usable container left by another customer. When using any container, make sure you weigh it empty first at our pricing scales.
- Q. I’ve never done this before, how do I use your tap wall?
- A. You can either bring your own container from home or pick up a re-usable container that other customers have donated. The container first needs to be weighed on our scales as an empty container. Then place your container under the tap, holding it as close to the faucet as possible. Transparent containers are perfect so that you can see the level of the liquid rising, and containers with wide necks at the top are also useful. Once the container is securely held in place, pull the lever towards you slowly to gauge the flow of the liquid. Take as much as you need, always keeping an eye on the level of the liquid inside. Once you’re finished, take it to our weighing scales once more to be weighed. Easy!
